Q: Tell us a little bit about yourself and what hobbies/sports you do.
A: “I don’t actually do any sports, but the hobbies I have in my own time are solving Rubik’s cubes, playing games, and talking to my friends.”
Q: How would you describe your transition from homeschooled to high school?
A: “The transition was relatively easy socially. Academically, it was quite difficult as I had to learn how to write for basically the first time in my life, as well as just getting used to the deadlines and formats of assignments.”
Q: What class is the most interesting so far and why?
A: “The most interesting class I have so far is probably Computer Science Principles. It has a lot of logical thinking and coding, which I very much enjoy.”
Q: What are 3 words to describe your first months of high school and why?
A: “Three words would probably be exciting, stressful and experiences.”
Q: How has high school surprised you so far? Were there any skills you had to learn to get work done or fit school into your schedule?
A: “High school has been about what I thought it would be, besides some specific things happening, but overall what I expected. Some things I learned are things like simply doing assignments whenever I can, so I can use my time efficiently.”
Q: How do you want to remember your high school experience four years later? What are you doing now or how do you plan to make that happen?
A: “I want to remember my high school experience without any regrets. I want to do lots of academic things and get good grades, but at the same time, I want to spend a lot of time with my friends and keep a healthy lifestyle. So far I believe I have achieved this goal quite well. I think I get decent grades that can, of course, be improved but they aren’t failing and I spend a lot of time talking and supporting my friends as much as I can with the limited time I have.”
