Q: Tell us a little bit about yourself and what hobbies/sports you do.
A: “Hello! I am a ninth grader at Huron, and for the most part, I play volleyball, sing in choir and participate in anything theatre related!”
Q: How would you describe your transition from middle to high school?
A: “It wasn’t too bad. I was expecting something more, but I guess not. The school is smaller than I thought it would be, and it’s not too academically challenging (at least for now ).”
Q: What class is the most interesting so far, and why?
A: “I really like my first hour, which is an A2V class, so I get to sleep in and arrive at school at 8:45.”
Q: What are 3 words to describe your first months of high school, and why?
A: “Boring, tiring, and depressing … even though the overall classes are easy, the workload is definitely not. I find myself doing almost nothing due to pure boredom and no motivation.”
Q: How has high school surprised you so far? Were there any skills you had to learn to get work done or fit school into your schedule?
A: “I’m amazed by the flexibility of socializing. I feel like it was more strict in middle school, but now I can sit with who I want to in some of my classes. The number of clubs provided was very shocking to me. There was a lot to choose from, and some of them had concepts you’d never think of. “
Q: How do you want to remember your high school experience four years later? What are you doing now, or how do you plan to make that happen?
A: “I want to remember having fun with my friends! I have this habit of checking my camera roll every minute, so I hope to capture many fun memories to look back on. I am in a couple of clubs, so I hope to have some new friendships and maybe they’ll grow by the end of high school.”
