Junior Jumpstart Monday: Jordan Embry

Visruth Rajendiran, Staff Writer

Q: Tell us a little bit about yourself.

A: “I am a junior at Huron in the CP business program. I love to play and watch most sports and I also love to travel. I am a member of the Huron Rising Scholars program.”

Q: What has been your favorite part about this school year?

A: “Being able to still have a cross country season.  I think there was a lot of doubt in the air and the season felt different, but it meant a lot for the guys and myself to be able to go out and compete safely in the pandemic times.”

Q: What do you miss about Huron?

A: “Just the general energy and atmosphere.  I feel like at Huron you always felt like stuff was going on like the world was still progressing. It feels like time has just kind of paused lately.”

Q: What is one goal you have for this year?

A: “One goal I have this year is to finish the end of the year strong.  I often tend to slack off in the spring months and sometimes even fall behind just because of the exhaustion of school but I think this year will be different.”

Q: What is your favorite class and why?

A: “Marketing. I am interested in all sorts of business careers and I love doing the simulations and activities of owning a business.”

Q: What hobbies/sports do you do?

A: “I am a member of the Cross Country and Track and Field teams at Huron. I like to hang out with friends, play video games and play basketball in my free time.”
