Q: Tell us a little bit about yourself.

A: “My name is Lauren and I am a junior this year at Huron. I play volleyball for Huron and this year I was one of the captains for the JV team. I am also a part of the Huron IB Career Program and am in clubs like NHS and the Sexual Assault Prevention and Awareness Club (we are looking for more members by the way!)”

Q: What has been your favorite part about this school year?

A: “I think my favorite part of this year was getting into NHS because I worked hard on my application and it was kind of nerve-racking to wait a little bit to know if I had gotten in or not. I also enjoy being able to sleep in a little bit more than I would if we were in person.”

Q: What do you miss about Huron?

A: “I miss seeing my friends every day and making memories with them even if it was something small like walking to class. I also miss being able to go to sporting events like football and basketball games and hanging out with my friends during them.”

Q: What is one goal you have for this year?

A: “I want to keep my grades at all A’s so I can continue to raise my GPA. I am also excited about starting the college application process soon, so a goal I have is getting into my top two picks.”

Q: What is your favorite class and why?

A: “I enjoy my English class because we pick our groups when doing group work, so I can work with my friends. My teacher, Ms. Zager, is also really understanding about our workload and mental health during these times, which makes things a little less stressful.”

Q: What hobbies/sports do you do?

A: “I play volleyball, do dance, karate and I’m in Girl Scouts. Hobby-wise I enjoy photography and baking.”
