As the school year begins to wind down, many students have already started planning out their summer. While some are traveling, others are staying at home and relaxing.
“My summer plans are going to Washington D.C to visit all the museums, go to SAT tutoring and take a summer program at the University of Michigan,” sophomore Sakshi Sivakumar said.
Even though traveling sounds like such a great way to wind down and relax, it can also be a little bit stressful planning out the itinerary and logistics of the visit. Even for those staying at home, a plan must be created in order to have a well-structured summer.
“I planned my summer to make sure I would have a lot less to manage in terms of academics in junior year, because I know that it’s typically very stressful,” Sivakumar said.
We should also have specific things to look forward to in the summer. By having specific events to look forward to, the summer can be more exciting.
“I’m really looking forward to my summer program because I think it’ll be really cool to actually visit University of Michigan with the chance of experiencing student life,” Sivakumar said.
There is only so much time we have during the summer before the next school year hits us again. Whether it is staying at home and resetting, or traveling to different places, we must make the most out of our summer, and have no regrets when it’s over.
“I’m going to make the most out of my summer by having fun outside to experience the sun, and meet up with my friends as much as possible!” Sivakumar said.
