Q: Tell us a little bit about yourself and what hobbies/sports you do.
A: I run cross country and track and I like to play ping pong and rock climb a bit in my free time.
Q: How is this year’s learning different from last year’s?
A: It’s a lot more homework than last year, but the things we learn are more interesting and challenging.
Q: Which classes have you found the most interesting and why?
A: I found AP Chemistry really interesting because it sort of introduces you to a new way of thinking about the world. I also found engineering interesting because I’ve learned a bunch of new skills.
Q: Describe something that surprised you coming back to school this year that you weren’t expecting?
A: I was surprised at how I felt a lot more comfortable at school than last year because I’d figured out the building layout and I knew a lot more people.
Q: What are your thoughts about Personal Project? What were some challenges you have faced so far? What are you working on?
A: I think Personal Project is a really fun class if you choose to do something you like. My main issue was time management, which I struggled a little with when building my project, a ping pong table.
Q: If you could change one thing from your freshman self, what would it be?
A: I’d tell myself to not stress as much about tests and to get more sleep.
