Over winter break, senior Olivia Liao and founder of A2 Cookies began a new startup: Via Vintage. Via Vintage, a vintage watch reselling shop, is set to officially begin its climb by the end of January, bringing affordable and trendy wrist wear to the Huron and Ann Arbor community.
“I started Via Vintage because I love cool vintage watches and I wanted to have a bunch, but that wouldn’t be very financially responsible,” Liao said. “So I was like, why don’t I just resell them after I wear them so I can just try a bunch of different ones?”
As jewelry and accessorizing becomes more popular through social media trends, Liao predicted that watches would become the new “in,” resulting in the main goal of Via Vintage: making sure everyone can afford trendy watches when the trend takes over.

“I see some insane prices these days when shopping for watches, so my goal is to sell watches at a reasonable price,” Liao said. “Vintage items have become super trendy, so I think the next thing to “blow up” will be watches. I’m just trying to get ahead of the curve with Via Vintage.”
Following in the footsteps of A2 Cookies, a startup adored by the Huron Community, Via Vintage hopes to run a platform that lets everybody enjoy the pleasure that comes with trendy watches. Liao, promising to buy watches whenever a deal is seen, hopes to run Via Vintage for at least the rest of her high school career.
“I honestly see myself running Via Vintage for a long time,” Liao said. “I plan to buy watches whenever I see a good deal!”
