Q: Tell us a little about yourself.
A: “I have been at Huron for 10 years. I have three children [that are] 27, 25, and 21 years old. I like to golf in my free time. I’m a die-hard Detroit sports fan.”
Q: Have you always been interested in teaching?
A: “I became interested in teaching about 10 years ago after 15 years in the corporate world.”
Q: What surprised you about this year?
A: “It still surprises me how attached students are to their phones and how difficult it is for them to put them away for a 50 minute class period.”
Q: What is one motto you live by?
A: “Don’t put off to tomorrow what you can do today.”
Q: What or who inspired you to teach?
A: “After 15 years in the corporate world and the pursuit of profit over everything, I became discouraged and unfulfilled. I was inspired to teach in hopes that I could maybe make a small positive difference in someone’s life. I’m not sure if I have, but I have enjoyed trying!”
