Q: Tell us a little bit about yourself and what hobbies/sports you do.
A: My name is Jason Lu. I play video games, 2 instruments, enjoy history/politics, and I have a really cute cat called Jello. I also do Academic Games and Model UN, and since I’ve started going to Huron I’ve developed a natural hatred towards Skyline.
Q: How would you describe your transition from middle to high school?
A: I thought it was gonna be super stressful because now my grades actually matter and I have 7 classes, but honestly it’s kinda the same. [The] worst part is that I don’t have friends in all of my classes anymore though.
Q: What class is the most interesting so far and why?
A: To me, AP Government is the most interesting class I take. This is because (as stated earlier) I’ve always liked learning about politics and government, so the material is super interesting to me. Gerrymandering is also pretty fun.
Q: What are 3 words to describe your first months of high school and why?
A: Fun, because I would rather be at school with my friends than at home doing nothing all day. Exciting, as I get to meet new people, and Large.
Q: How has high school surprised you so far? Were there any skills you had to learn to get work done or fit school into your schedule?
A: I was actually surprised by how little homework/studying I had to do for my classes, and I didn’t really learn any skills to get my work done.
Q: How do you want to remember your high school experience four years later? What are you doing now or how do you plan to make that happen?
A: I just want to remember it as being fun and hanging out with friends a lot, and my plan for that is just to not ruin any of my current friendships. Another thing I want to remember high school for is getting good grades, but that’s boring.
