Anthony Davis: Dallas to Detroit?

Coming off the heels of one of the most controversial seasons in NBA history, the Dallas Mavericks are in need of a new look. At 9-16 they are looking to make moves, headlining these moves is all-star forward Anthony Davis. Anthony Davis who has had a career low in points at 19.5 since his first year in the NBA. Who is the number one suiter for him? The Detroit Pistons.

There’s a lot of mixed feelings about this, he would add an all-star and veteran presence to the court, but he would spend lots of time on the bench. Once an MVP candidate and top player in the league, now known as an injury ridden unreliable player. The Detroit Pistons are on a roll, two years ago, the worst team in the league, turned into a 19 win, 5 loss team who is one of the most exciting teams in the NBA.

This is one of the most high risk, high reward deals in the NBA, similar to the Luka Doncic gamble the Mavericks took, which actually landed them Anthony Davis. Looking to move Jaden Ivey, Tobias Harris and future draft picks, the Pistons may potentially lose young talent and an experienced talent in Harris to get Anthony Davis.

Marvin is currently in 12th grade and this is his first year being a part of the Emery’s staff. Marvin is part of the Huron basketball team and in his free time, he likes to shop, workout and hangout with friends. Marvin’s favorite flavor of ice cream is cookie dough. Something Marvin is proud of is his summer because he grew in his sport and as a person gaining more independence. In college, he hopes to study Kinesiology and then go to physical therapy school to get his doctorate and become a physical therapist.
