A trip of a life time: students traveled to South Africa during spring break

The DP Lit and DP History classes took a trip to South Africa over spring break. This trip was through EF Tours and the group went all over the country being embraced in the culture and family South Africa has to offer. Here the South African flag is waving in the wind at the Maropeng Visitor Centre.

Ryan is currently in 12th grade and has been part of the Huron Enthymion and Huron Emery for three years. He is the Sports Editor for the Emery and a photographer for the Enthymion. For his amazing photography skills, Ryan has both recieved a Sparty Award from MSU, an excellence award in Sports Reaction, an Honorable Mention from Nashville NSPA conference. In Ryan’s his free time he likes photography and hanging out with friends. Ryan’s favorite tv show is Fargo and his favorite flavor of ice cream is strawberry.

When they were done picking tulips, people were instructed to go to the “Debuck’s Flower Sales” stand to check out. People were then given a baggie of water with a string to tie them together. They were also given the option to purchase an additional vase to carry around their flowers, and if they had picked fifteen tulips or more, they were given the vase free of cost.
