Who hasn’t heard the name Bad Bunny? Whoever hasn’t has most likely been living under a rock. Bad Bunny is a Puerto Rican artist who makes songs in all types of Latin music styles, expanding his sound within his discography, relating it to his culture and life experiences. With his latest album, “DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS,” which was released back in January, his popularity skyrocketed.
Bad Bunny’s musical career started all the way back in 2013 at the age of 14 years old, writing and uploading songs on the platform SoundCloud. A few years later, in 2016, his music caught the attention of Puerto Rican record producer DJ Luian, who helped Bad Bunny get signed to his first record label.
As the years went on, he continued to gain attention from the public, so much so that he collaborated with many other big artists, such as Karol G, Cardi B, and even Drake. He has a whole album collaboration with J Balvin called “Oasis,” which was released in 2019. With both their popularity combined, it reached number nine on the Billboard 200 and topped the Billboard US Latin Albums chart.
In February of 2020, he was a guest performer at the Super Bowl halftime show, which was headlined by other famous Latin artists Shakira and Jennifer Lopez. And as he’s continued releasing more music, his audience has continued to expand.
Finishing his tour for his album “DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS,” partnering with Amazon Prime to livestream his final concert of the “No Me Quiero Ir de Aquí” tour so people worldwide could watch without having to be there physically, and to focus on supporting Puerto Rico. The concert was such a major event that it broke records on Amazon Music.
His success in his musical career has ultimately led him to achieve such a milestone. Releasing music for about 11 years takes a lot of dedication, from starting his career on SoundCloud, collaborating with other popular musicians, and now becoming the headliner for the Super Bowl halftime show in February 2026. All of that time, work, and effort has let Bad Bunny become the artist he is today, and hopefully will lead him to even greater opportunities.
