Q: Tell us a little bit about yourself and what hobbies/sports you do.
A: My name’s Tanishka Tewari and I’m a senior this year. I love running, both on the cross country and track team, and I play viola in orchestra. In my free time I love listening to music, watching football, and hanging out with my friends.
Q: What is one class/club you would recommend to underclassmen? Why?
A: One class that I would recommend to underclassmen is AP Chemistry. I took AP Chem as a sophomore, but many students take it as a junior, I think either are helpful. It is one of the more challenging classes but it’s super helpful in making sure you manage your time and it’s also interesting.
Q: How are you feeling about graduating this year?
A: The feeling of graduating this year is bittersweet because I am glad to finally graduate and move on to college, but at the same time I’ll miss not having all my friends in the same place knowing that we are all going to be doing different things, and all the different responsibilities that are going to come with graduating.
Q: Ten years from now, what is one high school memory you will still remember?
A: One memory that I’ll always remember is when the cross country team made it to states my junior year. I remember the first time we made it was freshman year and that was after such a long time, and then actually being a part of the group that helped get the team to states again. The team is always so encouraging and willing to push each other to our limits which is a big part of the reason that we are able to continuously make this achievement.
Q: What is one piece of advice you would give to your freshman self?
A: One piece of advice I’d give is stop procrastinating, I did it so much and I really think I could have benefited from actually just getting the work done earlier so I wouldn’t stress so much. Another thing is start taking AP classes sooner because then you have such a heavy load during your junior and senior years, it becomes more spread out.
Q: What will you miss most about high school?
A: Definitely the people; my teammates, friends, teachers, and the everyday little moments that made me laugh so hard and got me through high school.
