Q: Tell us a little bit about yourself and things you do in and out of school.
A: “My name is Iscah and I am currently a sophomore. In school, I’m part of the orchestra, swim team, and BPA. Outside of school, I enjoy playing cards with my family, eating, sleeping, and meeting new people. ”
Q: What was your favorite Huron event from last year, and what did you like about it?
A: “My favorite event from last year would probably be going to Interlochen with Huron Orchestra. It was the first time I got introduced to the orchestra community at Huron and I made many new friends there! It made the start of freshman year much easier as I had already met so many amazing people..”
Q: What is your favorite class at Huron and what do you like about it?
A: “As of right now, my favorite class at Huron would probably be AP Chemistry. While the content itself is not that fun, I enjoy the experiments we get to do/watch as well as the class environment. Plus many of my friends are in that class which makes it even better!”
Q: What is a class you want to take in the future, and why does it interest you?
A: “One class I want to take in the future is Health Science. Maybe I’ve watched one too many medical shows but the medical field seems interesting to me. I want to learn more about it and I think the Health Science class will help me figure out if I do want to pursue a career in the medical field.”
Q: Who is one of your favorite teachers at Huron and why?
A: “One of my favorite teachers at Huron is Mr. Geiger, who teaches AP Calculus BC. He explains the material really well in a way that makes a lot of sense, and I think he has a good understanding of our thought process as students. He also makes it more enjoyable when learning harder topics.”
Q: What is your favorite memory from last year and why?
A: “My favorite memory from last year would probably be the annual dinner before SECs. That night, before I even knew it, I got pied in the face with whipped cream when we went to take a group picture after dinner. This year, per tradition, I got to choose the next freshman victim to pie.”
Q: If you could change one thing from your freshman self, what would it be?

A: “I definitely wasn’t expecting to make so many new friends this year! I love all the new people I’ve met, and I’ve definitely learned so much from all of them.”
