If any students at Huron are looking to get into easily accessible volunteering opportunities, they need look no further than Key Club. The club meets every other Thursday after school in room 5206 and holds many different events where students can get volunteer hours and experience. For example, a few weeks ago, the club headed to Gallup Park to pick up trash. Volunteer opportunities are offered both during club meetings and outside of the school –  coming up, Key Club plans to help out at the Harvest Moon Festival on October 26th. At the festival, held at King Elementary School, club members will be helping elementary school students with DIY candle making, paper lantern making, origami, face painting, and other themed activities. The club is mainly led by a student board, and you can reach them at [email protected].
