Q: Tell us a little bit about yourself and what hobbies/sports you do.

A: “Hi my name is Giselle, and I’m a sophomore. I enjoy running, playing golf, and hiking. In my free time, I like to cook, read, and go out with my friends.”

Q: After spending a year virtually, what has it been like to finally have a full year in person?

A: “It’s been really great to see my friends every day and meet new people. And just being in the classroom is a lot more engaging than it was when we were virtual.”

Q: Who helped you the most in getting through this year and why?

A: “My alarm clock, I give it all the credit for me being here on time. If it wasn’t for my alarm clock I would miss half of my classes.”

Q: Describe something about coming back to school in person that has surprised you?

A: “The amount of time it takes to get from one class to another. It’s actually insane.”

Q: Which of your classes you took this year were your favorite and why?

A: “My favorite class would have to be ceramics because it’s really fun and an easy-going class. Plus, everything you make you get to keep and being able to create something from nothing is just really cool.”

Q: What are your thoughts about personal project? What were some challenges you faced? After the hard work, are you proud of your product?

A: “Personal project was an interesting class. Personally, I didn’t really care for it but I can see how it could’ve been fun. Procrastination was by far the biggest challenge I faced. I think if I was more interested in the class I wouldn’t have had that issue but it was an issue for a reason. Overall, I’m proud of my product and I think it was a good learning experience.”

Q: If you could change one thing from your freshman self, what would it be?

A: “I would change the fact that I thought it’d be a good idea to go back into the ocean after I got stung by a jellyfish the first time.”
