Huron women’s volleyball has won 10 out of their last 12 matches. One of these 10 wins includes a tournament Championship at the Walled Lake Northern Invite a few weeks ago. Huron Women’s volleyball is currently tied for third in the SEC Red with Dexter (Skyline and Saline are 1 and 2).

“We are 14 -6 at the moment with all of our losses coming to teams that are ranked in the top ten in the state in their division,” coach Toney Cummer said. “JV won their first tournament of the year last weekend at the Lincoln Invitational. Both the JV and Freshman are working hard and improving everyday.”

Cummer is very excited to see what the future has in store for all three freshman, JV, and varsity volleyball teams.

Aubrey Jackon, a senior on Hurons Women’s varsity team, shared her thoughts on her team’s success this far in the season.

“I feel like we have been very successful and work well together as a team,” Aubrey Jackson said. “We all bring different things to the team, and when we put it all together, our games are very competitive and fun to participate in and watch.”

The Huron community is very excited for what its women’s volleyball will bring next. They practice everyday in the dome gym after school. If anyone wants to drop by and say hello, you’ll know where to find them. Their senior team has 12 seniors who we will be celebrating on Thursday Oct. 14 for Senior Night.
