Q: Tell us a little bit about yourself.

A: “I grew up outside of Lansing, attended Western Michigan University and was lucky to receive a fellowship to get my master’s degree. I have been teaching for 13 years and this is my first year at Huron. I have two young children at home and my husband is also a teacher. I love going up north, vegetable gardening and completing house projects.”

Q: What has been your favorite part about this school year?

A: “My favorite part about this school year is getting to know students at Huron and staff.”

Q: What do you miss about Huron?

A: “This is my first year at Huron but I still miss being in a physical classroom and seeing students’ faces daily.”

Q: What is one goal you have for this year?

A: “One goal I have for this year is to approach the year realistically.”

Q: What is your favorite class and why?

A: “This is a hard question! I truly have enjoyed teaching all the classes I have. I teach WHAG (World History and Geography) and Government and enjoy both, but my educational background has been more focused on American History and Government.”

Q: What hobbies/sports do you do?

A: “I enjoy gardening and completing house projects. I have not played any sports in years but when I was younger I did ballet for 20 years and was in the band program in grade school.”
