Q: Tell us a little bit about yourself and what hobbies/sports you do.

A: “My name is Maxine Wilkins and I’m a dancer, I dance for a couple hours a week. I’m also in orchestra, I play viola along with piano and bass guitar.”

Q: After spending a year with classmates virtually, what’s it been like to finally see people in person?

A: “It’s pretty fun to actually see them in person and connect over our old classes and new classes to learn more about them and their personalities.”

Q: Who helped you the most in getting through last year and why?

A: “Probably my brother because he helped me with my homework.”

Q: Describe something about coming back to school in person that has surprised you?

A: “The amount of homework that I have, it’s not too much, but it’s definitely different from last year.”

Q: Which of your classes are you most excited for and why?

A: “I am excited for orchestra because I really like playing music and learning more.  I’m also excited a little bit for personal project to finish out my project and see how it goes, and I’m excited for Arabic because I have friends in that class.”

Q: What are your thoughts about personal project? When do you think you’ll get started on your work?

A: “I think i’ll get started this week or next week. I think it’s a very interesting concept and it’s a little vague because everyone can just choose their own thing and they could go any direction that they want with it, but I think that’s pretty cool so i’m excited.”

Q: If you could change one thing from your freshman self, what would it be?

A: “I would change how much I study, so I would be more prepared for this year especially.”
