Visruth Rajendiran, Staff Writer

Q: Tell us a little bit about yourself.

A: “I am from Ann Arbor and went to Allen Elementary, Scarlett Middle School and Huron High School. I love all sports, but especially basketball and softball. I graduated from EMU and received a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics for Secondary Education and a minor in Physical Education.”

Q: What has been your favorite part about this school year?

A: “My favorite part about this school year is working as a unified front with everything going on: working with new staff members and working to make strong connections to students via online learning.”

Q: What do you miss about Huron?

A: “Since this is my first year teaching at Huron, the main thing I miss (or wanted) is creating my classroom and decorating/setting it up, and meeting/seeing my students in person. This will happen eventually though!”

Q: What is one goal you have for this year?

A: “One goal I have this year is to improve my skills in teaching. I also have the goal to make connections with my students even though I have never seen them in person and vice versa.”

Q: What is your favorite class and why?

A: “I can’t say I have a favorite subject, except, of course, my math classes. I enjoy teaching Algebra 2, SAM and Personal Projects!”

Q: What hobbies/sports do you do?

A: “I used to play softball and basketball in high school. I continued to play for EMU’s club softball team while in college and played basketball for fun. I also enjoy playing soccer for fun and any sport! I like to run as a nice stress reliever.”
