Q: Tell us a little bit about yourself and what hobbies/sports you do.
A: I’m currently a sophomore in high school and some of my hobbies are reading, hanging out with friends, and baking. I also play soccer!
Q: How is this year’s learning different from last years?
A: This year the learning is different from last year because for one thing, we aren’t able to use our phones in class anymore to disclose further distractions and also the selection of classes I’m taking this year are very different than last year because the learning styles are each unique to their own.
Q: Which classes have you found the most interesting and why?
A: The class I have found the most interesting so far is macro because it’s the one class I wasn’t so sure about at first, but now I think I’m starting to understand it more and I find it kind of fun.
Q: Describe something that surprised you coming back to school this year that you weren’t expecting?
A: Something I wasn’t expecting was to not be able to use our phones in class because that was something I feel like everybody, including myself, was very used to and comfortable with pulling out our phones during class.
Q: What are your thoughts about personal project? What were some challenges you have faced so far? What are you working on?
A: I find personal project pretty fun, but because of how independent everything is, it is sometimes difficult to get everything done and to be successful. My project is on baking cookies with healthier substitutes and currently I am in the middle of doing research.
Q: If you could change one thing from your freshman self, what would it be?
A: If I could change one thing about my freshman self it would be to stop stressing about everything so much and also stop procrastinating about everything.
