Q: Tell us a little bit about yourself and things you do in and out of school.
A: At school, I go to my classes. I have a free fourth hour, so I go to the library and usually just work on extra work I have. And then at home, I do club water polo, and I drive my sister to skating a lot.
Q: What was your favorite Huron event from last year, and what did you like about it?
A: I really liked all my Marching Band games. I get to hang out with my friends a lot, and just the environment and community is really friendly and welcoming.
Q: What is your favorite class at Huron and what do you like about it?
A: I really like math, just because I’ve always understood it a lot. And I really like my teacher, Miss Clyde.
Q: What is a class you want to take in the future, and why does it interest you?
A: I want to take DP Lang and Lit, just because I heard a lot of good things about it, and I really like the teacher, Ms. Zager.
Q: Who is one of your favorite teachers at Huron and why?
A: I really like Mr. Trevisan. He was my personal project teacher. I think he’s just really funny, and connects with the students a lot, and he’s just, really easy to talk to.
Q: What are your thoughts about personal project? What were some challenges you have faced so far? What are you working on?
A: I did crocheting for my personal project, and I think it was pretty easy. My mom helped me a lot, because she’s been crocheting for five years. But I think the hardest part for me was planning ahead because I don’t like when we had to plan two months in the head and I’m not really good at that.
Q: What is your favorite memory from last year and why?
A: I think my favorite memory was winning HOCO Court with my friend Avani and walking across the field at halftime.
Q: If you could change one thing from your freshman self, what would it be?
A: I locked in a little more? I think I had a mentality that, oh, if I have a B plus, it’s fine. But like, I think I’d rather have gone back and, like, tried to get A’s.
Q: What is something you weren’t expecting about sophomore year?
A: I thought the teachers would definitely be a lot more strict, because a lot of my freshman teachers said they would be, and some of them definitely are, but not as strict as I thought they could be.
Q: What is an interesting face or hidden talent about yourself?
A: I have double-jointed shoulders.
Q: What is a hot take of yours?
A: Pineapple doesn’t belong on pizza.
