Q: Tell us a little bit about yourself and what hobbies/sports you do.

A: “Hi, I’m Aditi! I’m a freshman this year and in my free time, I like to read and hang out with friends and family. I play tennis and I learn Indian classical dance as well.”

Q: How would you describe your transition from middle to high school?

A: “The transition actually went pretty well. I was able to make friends pretty quickly, so that kind of helped me in the process.”

Q: What class is the most interesting so far and why?

A: “I think computer science principles is pretty interesting because I thought I would have trouble with programming, but it actually came quite easily to me.”

Q: What are 3 words to describe your first months of high school and why?

A: “I would say exciting, nerve-wracking, and accepting. Exciting because I was really excited to go from middle school to high school because it was a new checkpoint in life. Nerve-wracking because I was kind of nervous to meet new people. That just leads to accepting because I was able to make new friends pretty quickly.”

Q: How has high school surprised you so far? Were there any skills you had to learn to get work done or fit school into your schedule?

A: “Something that I definitely had to start doing in high school was being more organized. I’ve started using my planner every day and I have very organized schedules for home and school.”

Q: How do you want to remember your high school experience four years later? What are you doing now or how do you plan to make that happen?

A: “I want to remember my high school years as being pretty productive, socially and academically. I want to meet new people and make new friendships while simultaneously doing well in school. Since I’m only a freshman this year, I’m very excited to do more things in later years to come.”
