On Oct. 29, the girls’ cross country team tied for second with Canton in regionals with a score of 97. They will be going to the state meet on Nov. 5. Sophomore Lucy Paliani placed ninth overall. This is the first time in 14 years that Huron has qualified as a team for the state meet.

“It’s really exciting,” freshman Tanishka Tewari said. “We were all jumping up and down and crying tears of joy. I am so happy for all the girls who made it to state, and I’m looking forward to cheering them on.”
