Maya Kogulan, Arts and Entertainment editor

Q: What’s the biggest difference between middle school and high school?

A: “The transition between middle and high school wasn’t that hard. The biggest difference was the size. Huron was a lot bigger than my middle school and had a lot more people.”

Q: What was your first day of high school like?

A: “Honestly, I don’t remember it that well. I remember the halls being really crowded. I was just shocked by the number of people and the overall size of the school.”

Q: What clubs and activities do you participate in?

A: “I am a member of Science Olympiad, Interact and Table Tennis Club. I also play water polo and I am a part of the swim team. “

Q: Do you have any goals for High School?

A: “I don’t have any particular goals for high school. My long-term goal is to go college and study aerospace engineering. By the end of senior year, hopefully, I will get into a good engineering program.”

Q: Do you have a favorite class?

A: “My favorite class is science. Currently, I am taking biology and earth science. I enjoy both classes, but I like Earth Science more.”

Q: If you could describe this school year in one word, what would it be?

A: “‘Fun’. Freshman year was really fun but it was definitely weird with the school closings.”
