Q: Tell us a little bit about yourself and things you do in and out of school.
A: My name is Kayla and I’m a sophomore. Outside of school, I play the flute, I like to draw, and I play tennis. In school, I do HOSA, Mock Trial, and GIDAS.
Q: What was your favorite Huron event from last year, and what did you like about it?
A: My favorite Huron event from last year was HOSA states, because I got to hang out with friends and there were a lot of cute guys there.
Q: What is your favorite class at Huron and what do you like about it?
A: I like AP Psychology because it’s an online class, so I can work at my own pace.
Q: What is a class you want to take in the future, and why does it interest you?
A: I want to take a food science class when I’m a senior so I can have fun and relax.
Q: Who is one of your favorite teachers at Huron and why?
A: My favorite teacher is Mr. Wheeler because he’s a really nice person. He’s awesome.
Q: What are your thoughts about personal project? What were some challenges you have faced so far? What are you working on?
A: I don’t like Personal Project. Everybody in the class just makes things up, so nobody is learning anything. I also have to skip lunch multiple times a week, and I don’t like that it takes away from time that I have with friends. I’m working on some model clay organs.
Q: What is your favorite memory from last year and why?
A: My favorite memory from last year is when my friends and I bonded over all getting a 30% on a math test.
Q: If you could change one thing from your freshman self, what would it be?
A: I should have taken Chem and Physics as a freshman, so I could take AP Chem and AP Physics this year.
Q: What is something you weren’t expecting about sophomore year?
A: How similar it is to being a freshman.
Q: What is an interesting fact or hidden talent about yourself?
A: I have an ear deformity.

A: Skinny jeans are cute.
