The Huron Emery competes in The Headliners Best of 2024 Contests

The Huron Emery won numerous awards for their outstanding work.

This Month, the Huron Emery competed in the Headliners Best of 2024 contests. The categories included Best School Story, Best School Photo, Best Community Story, Best Community Photo, Best Politics Story, Best Politics Photo, Best Reporter, Best Photographer, Best Continuing Coverage: Writing Staff, and Best Continuing Coverage: Photo staff.

With over 400 total entries, publications from all over the world competed in these 10 categories. After intensive judging, the winners of the event represented 11 states and three countries.

Emily Hu is currently a junior and this is her second year on The Emery's staff. Emily is part of the Huron Field Hockey team at Huron High School and a member of Inno Education and Huron BPA. In her free time, she loves watching F1 races, listening to Lana Del Rey, and buying excessive amounts of bubble tea.
