A: “I enjoy a wide variety of things within and out of school such as being a club member of KEY club. KEY club is a group of students who work together to do acts of service that help others ranging from picking up garbage to creating cake packages for those less fortunate. I also enjoy spending time with friends and family, as well as enjoying my own habits like binge-watching movies such as Good Will Hunting and Yes Man and playing video games.”
Q: What was your favorite Huron event from last year, and what did you like about it?
A: “My favorite Huron event from last year was Hoco, I enjoyed spending time with friends there and meeting new people who I didn’t know previously. I also enjoyed this event because of how they sold food and snacks there which was really needed after moving around so much.”
Q: What is your favorite class at Huron and what do you like about it?
A: “My favorite class at Huron had to be the digital photography class as I enjoyed both the things that were taught during the class and the teacher. I enjoyed this class because of how enjoyable it was to go out and get my own photos from around the school which I could edit myself to my own liking. The teacher was very nice and helped me whenever I came upon a problem and showed me how to fix it step by step.”
Q: What is a class you want to take in the future, and why does it interest you?
A: “A class that I am interested in taking in the future is Health Sciences and Technology class as I feel that it will help me gain a better understanding of what a nurse is and how I can get closer to becoming one myself.”
Q: Who is one of your favorite teachers at Huron and why?
A: “My favorite teacher at Huron has to be Ms. McDowell who was my art class teacher. I really enjoyed her as she was very kind to everyone in her class, helping in any way that she could or needed, she also was very quirky in the way that she would tell the class stories about herself and her ideas.”
Q: What are your thoughts about personal project? What were some challenges you have faced so far? What are you working on?
A: “My thoughts on personal projects vary but the overall idea of the class is good as making students make/do something that interests them is very good and important in improving their character. The class helps make students manage their own time and ideas based on their goals for the class. Although my own project is not very hard or complex as I plan to make a popsicle stick building I have already faced some challenges such as managing my time to be able to gather materials for my project and start the construction process of the building.”
Q: What is your favorite memory from last year and why?
A: “My favorite memory from last year was the day before summer break. I was very excited to enjoy summer and take a break from school and my classes. I also enjoyed that day as there was no work assigned which gave me more time to enjoy time with friends that I was likely not going to see during summer.”
Q: If you could change one thing from your freshman self, what would it be?
A: “Something that I would change or do differently during my freshman year would probably have to be connecting with more people as well as making more friends. This change would also even help me in my current year as I have very few people I recognize from my freshman year within my classes. “

A: “something i wasn’t expecting during my sophomore year was the change in classes which mostly reflects on what sort of interests you have, as the minority of my old classes were very basic in the subjects that they thought compared to my my new classes that teach a variety of concepts and ideas that could have never been taught in my previous classes. I was also surprised at the number of people within each class as there is a very large number of people within every class of mine.”
