Sophomore Jane Hu and Junior Kate Kim take notes on the industrial technology of the late 1800s.

On Tuesday, Feb. 6, Huron’s AP US History (APUSH) students visited the Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn, Michigan for a school field trip. The museum contained a collection of both replicas and real artifacts from throughout America’s history, which served as a chance for the students to see the chronology for themselves. This was both an informative and exciting trip for the students, as it allowed them to learn about the subject in a different manner, outside of the classroom. Students would later affirm their enjoyment in the experience, their gratitude going to APUSH teacher Ms. Jones, Huron’s administration, and the chaperones for making it all possible.

“I got to see things that factories made back in the late 19th century and I’m very grateful that I could go,” APUSH student Kyle Johnsen said. “I also was able to see the history of the cars from this time period.”
