    Sophomore Saturday: Angelys Ramirez

    Q: Tell us a little bit about yourself and things you do in and out of school.

    A: I love playing the piano and playing soccer and taking care of my pets

     

    Q: What was your favorite Huron event from last year, and what did you like about it?

    A: I loved Multi-Culti, I loved seeing all of the diversity amongst the school.

     

    Q: What is your favorite class at Huron and what do you like about it?

    A: My favorite class is Economics, I love it because it makes you think about the world and everything around you.

     

    Q: What is a class you want to take in the future, and why does it interest you?

    A: Microeconomics, it interests me because I love learning more about the world around me and the impacts I can make.

    Q: Who is one of your favorite teachers at Huron and why?

    A: Mr. Tucker, I enjoy the energy he brings to the classroom, and he makes every lesson fun and understandable.

    Q: What are your thoughts about personal project? What were some challenges you have faced so far? What are you working on?

    A: Personal Project really taught me more about time management, and it also taught me to be focused on one thing at a time. I worked on creating a book tutorial on how to solve a Rubik’s cube. A challenge I faced was balancing out my project, and seeing what needed to be improved upon.

     

    Q: What is your favorite memory from last year and why?

    A: One of my favorite memories from last year was the field trip to the Holocaust Museum, I felt like it was a great experience for everyone and we got to really see and experience things for ourselves.

    Q: If you could change one thing from your freshman self, what would it be?

    A: I wouldn’t focus on what others had to say about me and just worry about myself and my friends.

    Q: What is something you weren’t expecting about sophomore year?

    A: I really wasn’t expecting this year to be as fun as it is, I feel like this year so far has really helped me be more organized and in touch with my studies and has gotten me thinking about my plans for the future.

    Q: What is an interesting fact or hidden talent about yourself?

    A: I love horse riding whenever I go to Honduras.

    Q: What is a hot take of yours?

    A: People should be more informed about the current genocides happening in the world. For example in Palestine.

Isha is part of the Sexual Assault awareness club and in her free time she likes to listen to and read about music, watch Wes Anderson movies, and doom scroll until her eyes fall out. Isha’s favorite movie is either Moonrise Kingdom or a Silent Voice and her favorite flavor of ice cream is cookie dough.
