Q: Tell us a little bit about yourself and what hobbies/sports you do.
A: My name is Toli. I’m a freshman. I went to Ann Arbor Open for middle school. I like to play baseball and water polo. I also sometimes play video games.
Q: How would you describe your transition from middle to high school?
A: It was okay. It wasn’t that hard. The school was a lot bigger than middle school, so the first week was very confusing to get around.
Q: What class is the most interesting so far and why?
A: Nothing particularly stands out, but I like all of my classes and all my teachers are good.
Q: What are 3 words to describe your first months of high school and why?
A: Interesting. It’s pretty interesting. Fun. So far in my classes, nothing that important has happened and we’ve done some fun stuff. Different. It’s a lot different from middle school.
Q: How has high school surprised you so far? Were there any skills you had to learn to get work done or fit school into your schedule?
A: Huron’s a lot bigger than I expected. I wouldn’t say there’s any skills I had to learn, but I definitely had to put more time aside each day to work on homework.
Q: How do you want to remember your high school experience four years later? What are you doing now or how do you plan to make that happen?
A: I want to get good grades, make a lot of new friends, and just have a good time!
