The Super Bowl is one of the largest events in the world.  Super Bowl 57 will take place at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona on Feb. 12.  The Philadelphia Eagles will battle with the Kansas City Chiefs for one of the greatest trophies in all of sports, the Lombardi Trophy. It will be an exciting game as both teams have gone 16-3 this year. Also, both franchises have been to a recent Super Bowl and were able to win. The Philadelphia Eagles won the Super Bowl last in 2018 putting up 41 points on the New England Patriots and Tom Brady. The Kansas City Chiefs won the Super Bowl last in 2020 beating the San Francisco 49ers by 11 points. The Kansas City Chiefs then came back to in 2021 but were defeated by Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.  

Rowan’s Prediction: I think that the Kansas City Chiefs will win. The Philadelphia Eagles are a decent team shown by their record, however, I feel that they should not be in the Super Bowl. According to an analysis on the strength of the schedules of every NFL team, the Eagles have the second easiest strength of schedule. The easiest team’s schedule was the New York Giants which the Eagles played in the divisional playoff round. In my opinion, the San Francisco 49ers should have beat the Eagles but they did not have their team healthy when playing them. I feel the 49ers would have won if they had their dull team healthy. Meanwhile, the Chiefs had one of the hardest strengths of schedule out of everyone in the NFL, playing many top teams like the Buffalo Bills and the Cincinnati Bengals. Patrick Mahomes has proven he can win Super Bowls with large weapons such as Tyreek HIll and a talented defense. Now that some of those large factors are gone, he has still been able to be successful with one of the best head coaches in the league. Mahomes doesn’t need all of these large weapons which is why I feel that the Kansas City Chiefs will win Super Bowl 57. 

Jules’ Prediction: The Philadelphia Eagles have been one of the strongest teams in the NFL this season, and their record reflects that. Jalen Hurts has been proving himself, being a backup last year to the starting quarterback for one of the Super Bowl teams. On the other hand, though, there is the Kansas City Chiefs who have now made their third Super Bowl in the last four years. They have been proving that they are still one of the best teams if not, the best team in the NFL. The Kansas City Chiefs have superstars like Patrick Mahomes that have been a very big part of this team. Patrick Mahomes, though, is not playing completely healthy and that could affect their playstyle. Therefore, I think it is going to be a close game but the Kansas City Chiefs will edge it out and be victorious, because of a stronger roster. I also think that the Eagles have not proven enough this season. The Eagles have not had to play very good teams and they have had a pretty easy schedule compared to the Kansas City Chiefs’ schedule. The Eagles definitely have a chance to prove something in the Super Bowl and if they can win, they will have definitely deserved it. All we know for now is that Super Bowl 57 will be a good game and no team will have an easy win.
