Q: Tell us a little bit about yourself.

A: “I grew up in Lake Orion, MI with my older sister and mom. I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics from Michigan State University and my Master’s Degree from Marygrove. This is my 8th year of teaching. My first 5 years were in Fenton and this is my 3rd year at Huron. My girlfriend and I bought our first house in Superior Township two years ago and we have a 5-month-old Bernedoodle puppy.”

Q: What has been your favorite part about this school year?

A: “Learning new technology and getting to work with teachers from other schools. I am always a little hesitant about change and new routines, but it has forced me to think outside the box.”

Q: What do you miss about Huron?

A: “Seeing the students in the hallways and my colleagues. I miss getting to talk to the students and getting to know more about them.”

Q: What is one goal you have for this year?

A: “Try to stay as positive as possible. We will get through this together!”

Q: What is your favorite class and why?

A: “I enjoy all of my classes, but this year I am teaching DP Applications and Interpretations  SL Year 1 for the first time. It is nice to change things up a little and have upperclassmen.”

Q: What hobbies/sports do you do?

A: “I love to ski, golf and swim. Anything outside is great. I would do that every day if I could. My family also has a cottage in Brighton, so I love to go there in the summer and relax.”
