5 reasons why you shouldn’t skip Multi Culti
December 19, 2019
Year after year, the Multicultural show is put on during second hour on the last Friday before the holiday break, and year after year I hear rumors of students skipping the show. However, you’re not going to want to miss this one. Here’s a few reasons why:
1. TIKTOK DANCES – BUT 100 TIMES COOLER
TikTok dances are everywhere: in the halls, at sports practices and even in the classrooms at Huron. But not like this. This dance trio will bring the energy in their hyped-up versions of some of the most famous TikTok dances, including “Lottery” (the Renegade dance) and a hit from DaBaby. Missing this to sit home and scroll through your “For You” page? What’s the point when it can be right in front of you. This performance is like no other video you’ll see on your “For You” page.
2. INDIAN STYLE “PANINI” DANCE
The Indian Student Association will put on an incredible performance, but the highlight has to be when they perform an Indian rendition of the popular song “Panini” by Lil Nas X. The Indian version of the song was made popular on TikTok, but ISA will bring it to another level. Oh yeah, and they’ll carry senior Sahil Shah out on a throne, so you definitely won’t want to miss this performance.
3. THE K-POP QUEENS
This quintet will make you feel like you’re at an actual K-Pop concert. Yesterday, the dancing, the emotions and the music all captivated me and I couldn’t take my eyes off of the performance. The solo from senior Jasmine Xu will be full of energy, as was the rest of the dance. And, incredibly, they weren’t out of energy at the end of their dance because they stood out again during APEX’s group performance.
4. THE ANNUAL APEX LIGHT SHOW
Multi Culti would feel incomplete without the APEX light show finale. The pitch black stage and clothing will make the glow sticks take center stage as they swirl around. Plus, the audience will get a chance to participate when the glow sticks are thrown out. Make sure you catch one so you can be part of the action.
5. THE AIRPLANE RIDE OF A LIFETIME
Senior MCs Devon Caris and Eliot Chi will take us on a plane ride around the world in the 90 minute show. Make sure you buckle your seatbelt at the beginning of the show to ensure safety during the joke-filled flight. Don’t miss your flight tomorrow, or you might miss the adventure of a lifetime.

I personally love going to the multi cultural assembly. Its very entertaining watching other people dance to the music they love and grew up listening too. I love that they use costumes and other materials in their performances. They interact with the crowd and let the crowd sing and clap along I highly recommend going.

You honestly shouldn’t skip the multicultural assembly because it’s lots of fun and you learn new things and dances about every culture. It’s lots of fun and very entertaining to watch. They make you feel like you are part of the show. and they put on good music and tell you to get up and dance. it’s lots of fun.

I agree with this person because this assembly does bring out cultures all over the world.

I see your reasoning but to be honest the Multi Culti hasn’t been all that great. My 1st reason is that the I’ve been at Huron for 4 years and the Multi Culti has been the thing it has not changed.
