Q: Tell us a little bit about yourself and what hobbies/sports you do.
A: “My name is Mari, I’m a junior, and I like to play the guitar. I like to pick up really random hobbies, like ceramics, photography, and painting. I love watching movies and T.V.”
Q: What is one class/club you would recommend to underclassmen? Why?
A: “I would recommend psychology because it gives you a broader perspective on people, and it’s an interesting elective to have.”
Q: What’s an interesting/unique fact about yourself?
A: “I have a diary/scrapbook that I’ve been using since first grade!”
Q: Where do you see yourself in ten years?
A: “In ten years, I hope to see myself in medical school, living in the city, with a dog.”
Q: How do you feel about starting junior year and why?
A: “I’m really nervous about it because it feels like no time has passed, like I still feel like a sophomore. It’s really scary because I’m not ready to leave this sense of community yet. I’m also nervous about college applications because it’s a lot of pressure. I wish I was a freshman again.”
Q: Who is your idol and why?
A: “Curious George because he has great problem-solving skills and he reminds me to always stay curious and playful.”
Q: What is one lesson high school has taught you?
A: “Don’t beat yourself up about being ‘too much’ because as said by The Mad Hatter to Alice, ‘You used to be much more muchier. You’ve lost your muchness.’”
