Q: Tell us a little bit about yourself and what hobbies/sports you do.
A: “Hi, my name is Andrew Kang. Did you know you have rights? One sport I do is rowing, and I often play mobile games or watch YouTube in my free time.”
Q: How would you describe your transition from middle to high school?
A: “I’d say it was mostly smooth. I didn’t anticipate how short the classes would be, but I’m glad I can finally take classes I like.”
Q: What class is the most interesting so far and why?
A: “The most interesting subject for me so far is Calculus BC. Mr. Geiger makes the class very fun, he has a great enthusiasm for math that makes the class way more interesting than it would be. I also get to sit with my friends!”
Q: What are 3 words to describe your first months of high school and why?
A: “New, Fast, Busy. High school is new because I haven’t really been exposed to it that much beforehand (shocker). It’s different from middle and elementary school because it relies more on self-reliance, which I like. Some of the classes were definitely fast paced.”
Q: How has high school surprised you so far? Were there any skills you had to learn to get work done or fit school into your schedule?
A: “ Some of the classes are very fast paced, which took me by surprise. I definitely had to learn time management to fit in homework with crew practice.”
Q: How do you want to remember your high school experience four years later? What are you doing now or how do you plan to make that happen?
A: “I want to remember that I had fun in high school. I’m doing that by talking to and hanging out with my friends.”
