Q: Tell me a little about yourself and things you do in and out of school?
A: Hi, I’m Lauren and I’m currently a senior. I’m a member of APEX and in my free time I enjoy learning new songs on my guitar, drawing, and doing my nails.
Q: Out of all your clubs, extracurriculars, and sports, which one is your favorite and why?
A: My favorite is definitely crew because of how many friends I’ve made and how much I learned from the sport.
Q: What is your favorite Huron event? (Multi Culti, Pep Rally, Homecoming, etc)
A: I like Multi Culti a lot because I participate in it. I think performing is super fun and is a great way to end school before going on break.
Q: Where is your favorite spot at Huron and what do you like about it?
A: I really like the orchestra room. It’s pretty quiet in there during lunch and I enjoy looking at all the silly drawings on the chalkboard.
Q: What is your favorite high school memory?
A: My favorite high school memory is from freshman year when I made some good friends on the crew team by talking about a video game character I share a birthday with.
Q: Who is one of your favorite teachers and why?
A: One of my favorite teachers is Ms. Hale because she always tries her best to help her students and she knows how to teach really challenging subjects. I also really like Ms. Serfozo because she makes math super enjoyable.
Q: Which of the classes that you’ve taken is your favorite and why?
A: I really liked taking Applied Psychology with Ms. Kapali because I got to learn a lot about how and why people behave. I think psychology is super interesting and can be applied to everyday life. I also love Ms. Kapali dearly.

A: I want to go to college and study public health and business so I can eventually become a dentist!

Q: What piece of advice would you give to the underclassmen?
A: Don’t be afraid to try new things and make mistakes. High school is all about making new experiences and being able to grow from them.
Q: What is a hot take of yours?
A: Crumbl cookies are so overrated.
Q: What will you miss most about high school?
A: I will miss having snow days.
