Q: Tell us a little bit about yourself and things you do in and out of school.
A: My name is Skyla Bourne. I’m a junior and I play percussion in band. I like to play video games, listen to music, and play guitar in my spare time.
Q: What is your favorite Huron event and why? (Multi Culti, Homecoming, Clap Out, etc.)
A: My favorite Huron event would have to be Multi Culti. I really love how diverse it is and the performances are always super cool.
Q: Where is your favorite spot at Huron and why? (Certain lunch table, classroom, outdoor area, etc.)
A: My favorite spot at Huron is the library. It’s (usually) really quiet in there which is pretty cool.
Q: What is one of your favorite high school memories and why?
A: My favorite high school memory would probably be anything marching band related. I met a lot of great people through marching and the pre-show hangouts are always really fun.
Q: If you could make up a class and teach it at Huron, what class would you teach?
A:I’d probably create a media literacy class. Lord knows some people need it.
Q: What is something you would redo about your sophomore year if you could?
A: I should’ve locked in my first semester. Sophomore Skyla dilly dallied a little too hard.
Q: What’s an interesting fact or hidden talent about yourself?
A: I can do some pretty cool yoyo tricks.
Q: What is your favorite season during the school year and why?
A: My favorite season would have to be fall because of marching band or summer because school is out.
Q: Who is your idol and why?
A: My idol is Emily Remler. She’s my favorite guitarist and I’d sell an arm to play at the same level as her.
Q: What is one lesson high school has taught you?
A: Highschool has taught me to chill out I think. Not everything needs to be rationalized and stressed over.
Q: What is a hot take of yours?
A: Schools need to bring back nap time.
