Q: Tell us a little bit about yourself and what hobbies/sports you do.
A: My name is Trevor and I am a senior this year. In my spare time, I enjoy practicing my cello and playing tennis. I’m a cellist in the Huron Symphony Orchestra as well as MYSO. I also play tennis for the varsity team at Huron.
Q: What is one class/club you would recommend to underclassmen? Why?
A: I would personally recommend taking AP Microeconomics. This class kept me engaged and taught me interesting types of thinking while still maintaining a chill workload. Since AP economics is also fairly unique compared to other typical core classes, I would also recommend this class just for the sake of trying something new.
Q: How are you feeling about graduating this year?
A: It’s a bittersweet feeling. I’ve always thought that graduation would be a pretty sad time since it will signify the end of a really special stage of life. However, after 11 years in the school system, I think it’s safe to say I’m ready to move on. I’ll definitely miss all the friends and wonderful experiences I had in high school, but I’m also excited to make new friends and memories in college.
Q: Ten years from now, what is one high school memory you will still remember?
A: I will always remember that time the Huron Orchestras and Band went on an international trip to Spain. This trip was eventful to say the least, (luggage getting lost, bus driver quitting, bus crashing into an overpass, kids stuck in an elevator) but I still had a lot of fun spending so much extra time with my orchestra friends.
Q: What is one piece of advice you would give to your freshman self?
A: I would encourage freshman-Trevor to not compare himself to others, and instead, to find his self worth from greater, more important things.
Q: What will you miss most about high school?
A: Definitely not the parking line when exiting the student lot.
