Q: Tell me a little about yourself and things you do in and out of school?
A: Hi, my name is Katelyn and I am a current senior at Huron. I’m interested in engineering, and am a captain on the crew team.
Q: Out of all your clubs, extracurriculars, and sports, which one is your favorite and why?
A: Crew, because I love being on the water with my teammates. I’ve also learned a lot about community and leadership there.
Q: What is your favorite Huron event? (Multi Culti, Pep Rally, Homecoming, etc)
A: Multi Culti because I enjoy watching all the cultural performances as an audience member and supporting my friends.
Q: Where is your favorite spot at Huron and what do you like about it?
A: I like the engineering room a lot because I like the vibes and coziness. I also have a lot of good memories there.
Q: What is your favorite high school memory?
A: My favorite memory is going to the Head of the Charles regatta in the fall of my Junior year. I loved being able to travel with friends and exploring Boston.
Q: Who is one of your favorite teachers and why?
A: Mr. Schuitman because I love his energy and enthusiasm for the class. He makes learning enjoyable.
Q: Which of the classes that you’ve taken is your favorite and why?
A: AP Statistics, I like how it is applicable outside of school in the real world.
Q: What are you thinking of doing after high school?
A: I want to go to college and study mechanical and biomedical engineering.
Q: What is something you’d redo throughout your high school experience if you could start over?
A: If I could redo something I’d probably try to talk to more people in my freshman and sophomore years.
Q: What piece of advice would you give to the underclassmen?
A: Don’t stress out too much and make memories with your friends while you can.
Q: What is a hot take of yours?
A: Pancakes are better than waffles.
Q: What will you miss most about high school?
A: Being able to hang out with my friends all the time.
