To kickstart the month of June, also known as Pride Month made to celebrate the LGBTQIA+ community, Huron’s Rainbow Rats have organized their annual Pride Spirit Week from June 3 to June 7.
“It is also really fun for us to come up with ideas for the spirit week,” club leader Becker Gibson said. “We have noticed there’s other spirit weeks celebrating different cultures and holidays, and we wanted to include a celebration of pride month as a spirit week.”
Below is the schedule for the week:
Monday: Sparkle Day
Let your individuality shine with glitter and sparkles
Tuesday: Character Day
Dress up as your favorite movie, show, or game character
Wednesday: Wacky Day
Express yourself with goofy fashion and accessories
Thursday: Vintage Day
Sport your favorite thrift shop finds
Friday: Pride Colors Rainbow Day
Wear a rainbow or any pride colors
