Q: Tell us a little bit about yourself and things you do in and out of school.
A: My name is Aya. I play volleyball for Huron and club. I like to see my friends outside of school and sleep.
Q: Out of all your extracurriculars, clubs, and sports, which one is your favorite and why?
A: I like playing volleyball the most because I get to be active all year long and I get to meet a lot of friends.
Q: How are you liking your first year at Huron?
A: I like it. I’ve gotten good grades.
Q: What is your favorite class so far and why?
A: Probably my English class because it has good people in it and I like my teacher.
Q: Who is one of your favorite teachers and why?
A: Ms Horwitz, my English teacher, is one of my favorites because she’s chill and easy to work with.
Q: What is a class you want to take in the future and why?
A: I want to take DP bio because it will be good for my career.
Q: What is something you weren’t expecting about high school?
A: The hallways are really packed and it’s hard to walk around.
Q: What advice would you give about the first weeks of high school to incoming 8th graders?
A: Talk to people and not everyone cares about you so it’s not that big of a deal.
