Q: Tell me a little about yourself and things you do in and out of school?
A: My name is Payton. In school, I do schoolwork and outside of school I like to hang out with friends.
Q: Out of all your clubs, extracurriculars, and sports, which one is your favorite and why?
A: My favorite club is Green Team Because it’s really fun and a lot of my friends are in it.
Q: What is your favorite Huron event? (Multi Culti, Pep Rally, Homecoming, etc)
A: I like Multi Culti the most because I like all the performances.
Q: Where is your favorite spot at Huron and what do you like about it?
A: My favorite spot is the stairs leading down to the “dirty lab” in the engineering room. I like the lights and the drawings on the wall.
Q: What is your favorite high school memory?
A: My favorite memory was at the pep rally when the national anthem played and my friend stood up and saluted.
Q: Who is one of your favorite teachers and why?
A: One of my favorite teachers is Mr. Caine, he teaches AP Physics and he’s just very chill.
Q: Which of the classes that you’ve taken is your favorite and why?
A: My favorite class is ceramics because it’s a very chill class and there’s never any homework. You get to be creative and make anything you want.
Q: What are you thinking of doing after high school?
A: I’m planning on going to college, but I’m just planning on going in undecided.
Q: What is something you’d redo throughout your high school experience if you could start over?
A: If I could start this experience over then I would join the Huron golf team.
Q: What piece of advice would you give to the underclassmen?
A: Don’t skip school events because they are actually kind of fun, go to them and experience them. I missed a lot of events because of COVID during my freshman year that I wish I had.
Q: What is a hot take of yours?
A: The winter in Michigan is actually fun because you can go sledding.
Q: What will you miss most about high school?
A: I will miss my friends and the teachers because in college, especially at bigger colleges, you go to lecture halls with 100 plus students and the teachers aren’t really going to know you. So I am going to miss the good relationships I had with teachers.
