“Esperanza Rising” by Pam Munoz Ryan.

This book is about a little girl, whose life was turned upside down going from a life full of riches to a life of working poor. Esperanza learns to not rely on others but to help others, no matter what. I love this book because it teaches you a lesson, and it’s full action.

“Wonder” by R.J. Palacio

This book is about a boy that was born with facial differences and has never gone to school until now because August ( Auggie) is afraid that everyone at school will make fun of him and judge him. How will Auggie get through school? Will he make friends? I just love this book, I love how Auggie is so brave to go to school. I also love how this book tells you to not make fun of anyone and to be brave.

“Little Women” by Louisa May Alcott

The book is filled with conflict and adventures. Little Women was written by Louisa May Alcott. This book is about four sisters, how they grow up, find love and their place in the world. Their father was fighting in war, their mother was busy at home taking care of them. I really like how the sisters are themselves, and help each other.

“Out of my mind” by Sharon M. Draper

This book is about a girl called Melody Brooks, she’s 11 years old.  She was born with cerebral palsy and thinks she’s different. Melody thinks that no one would want to be her friend, until she met Rose. Then Melody learns she is no different than anyone else.
