According to director Timothy Krohn, Huron’s original concert orchestra had fewer than 20 students when it started with then-director Larry Dittmar. Last year, the concert orchestra split into Green and Gold sections due to overwhelming numbers. They reunited tonight for Carmen!

This famous opera tune by Bizet is known as the Toreador Song. It is sung by a bullfighter as he enters the scene, cheered by the townsfolk. Can you hear how it’s built on a descending chromatic scale? Can you feel the marching rhythm? Can you see the red cape?
